#24 James Krahula stays ahead of the carnage on the last lap.

TALLADEGA – Talladega Superspeedway hosted the first Round of 8 race for the Sportsman Truck Series on Sunday for what many consider to be the wild card race of the Chase, and Talladega lived up to that expectation. James Krahula would be the only Chase driver to make it out of Talladega with a smile, winning the Savage Spinners Pole, leading the most laps, coming home with the win, and most importantly, punching his ticket to the Championship 4 that starts at Phoenix. Paul Pepper, Tommy Rhyne, Allen Krier, and Rick Thompson rounded out the Top 5.

The Big One happens on lap 49.
