NEWTON – Iowa Speedway hosted the first race of the Coastal Safety Auditors Grand National Series Round of 8 after virtual rain postponed the event earlier in the season. Ricky Hardin came home with the victory after a 21st place starting position on Monday night over Chad Coleman and Chase driver Jeff Ward. Woodrow Mahan and DJ Beverly round out the Top 5.

No one was able to lock themselves in at Iowa, but Jeff Ward got himself off to a good start with his 3rd place run, putting him 17 points ahead of the cut line. Jake Wright and Brian Yaczik both sit 13 points ahead, and Pierre Daigle finds himself 4 points ahead. Joe Hassert is the first person outside, followed by James Krahula, Brian Mellendorf, and Tommy Rhyne who all found trouble on Monday.
